The updated proposal before the Wheaton Planning and Zoning Commission reduces total spaces, increases limited-mobility and ADA spots, and seeks rezoning from residential to institutional despite concerns from nearby neighbors.

Wheaton Police report arrests and incidents for week of August 3 to August 9 (dupagepolicyjournal.com) — Wheaton residents can now see the latest weekly police report covering arrests and incidents from August 3–9, including DUI, warrants, and property damage cases in town and nearby communities. The report also highlights scams involving fake sheriff's officers, retail thefts, and identity theft, and reminds residents that all suspects are presumed innocent while investigations continue.
   

5. Glenbard South, Montini volleyball get wins: Wednesday's Suburban Life sports roundup (shawlocal.com) — High school volleyball fans in Wheaton can check out how the Wheaton North Blue and Gold Invitational opened, with York, Downers Grove North, and Glenbard West winning their pools while Wheaton North finished second in its group. The roundup also recaps strong performances from Glenbard South volleyball and Glenbard East girls tennis in early-season action.
