Deck Catches On Fire Outside Wheaton Home

WHEATON, IL — A fire damaged the deck of a home on Jefferson in Wheaton early Monday was likely accidental, officials say.

Around 3 a.m., firefighters got to the 300 block of East Jefferson and found a "fully involved" deck fire, a news release said. The blaze was brought under control in less than five minutes, according to Wheaton fire officials.

The residents were able to return to their home after the blaze.
