Digital Bookmobile To Visit Wheaton Public Library

The Digital Bookmobile will swing through Wheaton as it travels coast to coast to promote e-books .

WHEATON, IL — Wheaton residents will have a chance to visit a Digital Bookmobile as it makes its way across the country. The Bookmobile will bring interactive work stations, sample book titles, and eReading experts Sept. 17 through 19 to help spur interest in the free e-books that are available at local libraries and often accessible 24-7 with a valid library card.

Those who attend the event will get a free tour of Overdrive's 53-foot Digital Bookmobile and an opportunity to browse e-books and audio books. Wheaton Public Library staff will be on hand to answer questions and to help visitors navigate the library's own e-reading system.

Residents who have a valid library card can read e-books anytime via the eMedia Library website. They can also use the Overdrive Libby app to access a trove of e-books while on the go.
