Dining Tents Return To Hale Street In Wheaton

WHEATON, IL — The outdoor dining tents have returned to downtown Wheaton for the 2022 season. The dining area, which reopened May 7, will close traffic on Hale Street between Front and Hale Streets through late October.

Residents started taking advantage of the downtown dining tents in 2020, when they were put up amid indoor dining restrictions during the early phases of coronavirus. The change was a boon to local restaurants that were hit hard by the pandemic.

This year, he dining tents will be up through Oct. 31.
