WHEATON, IL — A detour went into effect on Dorchester Avenue Thursday to accommodate crews who are doing work for Wheaton's Sanitary District.

The temporary detour will allow workers to install new sewer mains as part of the sanitary district's ongoing Northside Interceptor Project. During the work, drivers will be redirected between Lakeside Drive and Childs Street.

It's expected that the current detour will be effective for about two weeks.
