WHEATON, IL—The DuPage County Sheriff's Office is raising money for a good cause by participating in the Law Enforcement Polar Plunge for Special Olympics Illinois.
Deputies are asking the community to join them as they brave the chilly weather and take a splash in the cold water. The sheriff's office currently has two teams taking part in the upcoming event.
The DuPage County Shivering Sheriffs will plunge on Feb. 29 at the Oakbrook Bath And Tennis Club. Team Copsicle will plunge at Twin Lakes Golf Course and Recreation Area in Palatine on March 22.
