DuPage County Awards Nearly $1M In Grants To Local Nonprofits

The grants will help local nonprofits to better serve the DuPage County community.

DUPAGE COUNTY, IL -- The DuPage County Board recently awarded close to $1 million in service grants to nonprofits throughout the county. The grants, which totaled $900,000, were given to dozens of registered 501(c)(3) organizations that were determined to "have made a substantial impact on County residents for at least three years."

According to DuPage County Board officials, "The grants are available to organizations that help families achieve independence, ensure the protection of children and other vulnerable residents, in addition to maximizing prevention opportunities to strengthen families’ well-being and stability."

The grants were awarded in amounts from $3,157 to $56,000. The funds will help the non-profit agencies further their goals of supporting the community and enriching the quality of human services in DuPage County.

The more than 50 nonprofits that were awarded grants from DuPage County include DuPage Habitat for Humanity, Loaves and Fishes Community Services, Metropolitan Asian Family Services, Ray Graham Association for People with Disabilities, Turning Pointe Autism Foundation, and People's Resource Center.
