New Feature Added As Vintage Cars, Food Trucks To Cruise Into Cantigny 2026 Car Show (patch.com) — Cantigny Park in Wheaton is gearing up for its 2026 Annual Car Show on Sept. 20, featuring hundreds of classic cars, food trucks, and a new historical sale and display at The First Division Museum. Attendees can enjoy specialty food vendors, view historic vehicles, and car owners can compete for 98 awards, with the top Choice Award winner highlighted in 2027 promotions.

2. DuPage County Announces Start of Energy Assistance Program (dupagecounty.gov) — Income-eligible Wheaton and DuPage County residents can soon apply for LIHEAP energy assistance at the County Farm Road offices in Wheaton and other local sites, with priority groups accepted starting October 1. The expanded program helps with gas, electric, propane, and even furnace repairs, but funds are first-come, first-served through August 2027, so residents are urged to gather documents and schedule appointments early.
