DuPage County Board Chairman Dan Cronin received the Leadership in the Public Sector Award from the March of Dimes at the 2017 Construction and Transportation Awards.
In accepting the award, Cronin thanked the March of Dimes and said healthy families are the starting point for the growth of the county's economic future.
"In my role as County Board Chairman, each day I strive to build a healthy and sustainable future for the next generation of DuPage residents while safeguarding today's residents, including children and seniors," Cronin said. "That's what we have in common with the March of Dimes. If we don't lay a strong foundation, whether it's in business, politics or in our healthcare systems, we can't provide healthy futures for our families."
