DuPage County Coronavirus Update: 634 New Cases In 24 Hours
A total of 10 people died from coronavirus in the past 24 hours in DuPage County, according to the county health department.
DUPAGE COUNTY, IL — DuPage County has seen 634 new coronavirus cases and 10 deaths in the past 24 hours, according to the DuPage County Health Department (DCHD). In total, there have been 50,484 coronavirus cases and 801 deaths in DuPage County, Illinois Department of Public Health reports.
There were 10 coronavirus-related deaths in DuPage County in the past 24 hours. These included:
- One man in his 30s
- One woman in her 60s
- One man in his 60s
- One man in his 70s
- One man in his 80s
- Two women in their 90s
- Three men in their 90s
The news comes as total cases in Illinois reach 787,573. The statewide death toll from coronavirus was at 13,255 as of Sunday and the recovery rate was 97 percent, according to the Illinois Department of Public Health.

DuPage County's system of reporting shows confirmed coronavirus cases in age groups from 0 through 9 years old to 80 and older. It also includes a breakdown of cases by municipality.

According to the county's breakdown, the majority of cases have affected those between the ages of 40 and 70, but all age ranges had confirmed cases. In recent weeks, there has been an uptick in cases among residents who are 20-29 years old.
The risk of coronavirus transmission in DuPage County is currently classified as "substantial."
