DuPage County Coronavirus Update: 780 Cases, 26 Deaths Confirmed

DUPAGE COUNTY, IL — As of Tuesday afternoon, DuPage County reports 780 confirmed cases of the new coronavirus and 26 deaths. County officials say the number of positive cases is "likely much higher" due to cases that are "unreported or untested."

The four patient deaths since Monday are, according to the DuPage County Health Department:

  • A man in his 40s who was living in DuPage County
  • A man in his 80s underlying conditions who was living in DuPage County
  • A woman in her 80s with underlying conditions at a long-term care facility in Elmhurst
  • A man in his 80s with underlying conditions at a long-term care facility in Willowbrook

The news comes as cases in Illinois reach 13,549. The statewide death toll from coronavirus was at 380 as of Tuesday.

The county's new system of reporting shows confirmed coronavirus cases in age groups from 0 through 9 years old to 80 and older. It also includes a breakdown of cases by municipality.
