DuPage County Sheriff Introduces Smartphone App
The app will allow the sheriff's office to reach residents and will give residents a new way to share crime tips.

DUPAGE COUNTY, IL — The DuPage County Sheriff's Office recently unveiled a new smartphone app that will make it easier to communicate with residents. The app, which has been in development for six months, will allow residents to share crime tips, view sex offenders in the area, and get emergency notifications at the push of a button.
In a statement, Sheriff James Mendrick said he was especially "excited about the features that allow the public to submit crime and drug tips directly to us and the link to research any nearby sex offenders."
Mendrick added that "everything about the app is customized to [the sheriff's office's] needs."
