DuPage County Sheriff Warns Of Phone Scam
In the scam, the caller apparently pretends to be with the DuPage County Sheriff's Office asking for money.
DUPAGE COUNTY, IL — The DuPage County Sheriff's Office is warning residents to stay alert after a scam was discovered in which the caller pretends to be with the sheriff's office. Police say the caller tries to solicit funds from their victims.
According to the sheriff's office, they will not call you to solicit funds. If you receive a phone call from someone posing as the DuPage County Sheriff's Office, call 630-407-2400 to report the incident.
