Addison Woman, 20, Found Dead In Starved Rock Canyon

DUPAGE COUNTY, IL — A 20-year-old Addison woman was recently found dead at the bottom of a canyon in Starved Rock State Park, according to conservation police.

The woman, whose name has not been released, was spotted by a pair of hikers on the floor of Wildcat Canyon Tuesday around 9:30 a.m., Jayette Bolinski of the Illinois Department of Natural Resources told Patch. Bolinski said the woman was pronounced dead at the scene.

According to Bolinski, foul play is not suspected in the incident and an autopsy is slated for Wednesday. The death is currently being investigated by the Illinois Conservation Police and the LaSalle County Coroner’s Office.
