CommuniTEA Discussion on Engaging Reluctant Readers
The Wheaton Montessori School’s “CommuniTEA” discussion series will continue on December 13, 2016 at 8:15am at Café K’Tizo in Wheaton, IL. Parents, caregivers, and educators are encouraged to attend, enjoy refreshments, and take part in a lively discussion focusing on early literacy and education. Coffee and tea will be provided by the Wheaton Montessori School during the event.
Engaging Early and Reluctant Readers
Amanda Chiste, early childhood educator and early literacy expert, will be featured and lead the discussion at the December 13th CommuniTEA. Ms. Chiste will be presenting the topic of “Engaging Reluctant Readers,” and offering tips and recommendations for inspiring a love of reading in children of all ages. Additionally, Ms. Chiste will also be taking questions from parents and caregivers, and attendees during the discussion.
Ms. Chiste is a classroom director at the Wheaton Montessori School, where she teaches children ages 2.5 – 6 years of age in one of the school’s Primary Classrooms. A passionate advocate for literacy, she regularly holds discussions with parents on the topics of recommended books and literature, early literacy, and inspiring lifelong reading behaviors.
