"5ive Outside" Art Exhibit on View at Burning Bush Gallery

Five artists have come together for an energy-filled exhibit hosted at the Burning Bush Gallery, a mission of Gary United Methodist Church. The show is called "5ive Outside: Hey, Look What We Made With All this Stuff!" and it features the artwork of Gary Brown, Joe Eddy Brown, Charles Heinrich, Tom Mahady and Kip Pasta.

Much of the work on display is made of "found objects" which are then made into artwork that can be whimsical or, as in the case of Kip Pasta's "9/11" sculpture, sobering. Each of the five artists brings his own gifts and sensibilities to the show which together creates a gallery full of energy and inspiration.

The Burning Bush Gallery is open on Sunday, Feb. 12, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The next show, "Ashes and Altars: Ceremonial Art by David Orth" will open at 5:30 p.m. on Ash Wednesday, Feb. 22 and run through March 18. An artist's reception for David Orth which is open to the public will be held from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 10.
