Archaeology Lecture by Anne Porter

The 56th Annual Wheaton College Archaeology Lecture Series, focusing on "The Landscapes of the Ancient Near East," begins with a lecture by Anne Porter titled "Mobile Pastoralism and the Formation of the Near East." Dr. Porter is an archaeologist whose research focuses on the religious and social practices of ancient Syria during the third millennium BC. She is the author of Mobile Pastoralism and the Formation of Near Eastern Civilizations: Weaving Together Society and numerous articles on ancient Syria. The lecture takes place at 7 p.m. Wednesday, September 14 and will be held in room 301 in Adams Hall, located north of Blanchard Hall, at 501 College Avenue in Wheaton.
