"Art in Bloom" at Cantigny

will stage “Art in Bloom” on Saturday, June 16, and Sunday, June 17.  Hours for the fine art festival are 10 am to 5 pm on Saturday and 10 am to 4 pm on Sunday.  Admission is free with paid parking ($5 per vehicle).

“Art in Bloom is one of our signature events,” said Laura Evans, Cantigny’s director of visitor services.  “People really look forward to this festival because there is so much to see and do.  It’s a celebration of beauty and creativity.”

The family-friendly event will feature more than 75 juried artists in a variety of mediums, displaying and offering their works for sale. Live demos will take place on both days, including Chicago graffiti artist Won Kim!

Kids will love painting the Cantigny “monster mural” and participating in a colorful sand art project ($1 fee).

Art in Bloom will feature live music both days by Sam Savage & Soul Company and Guitarra Azul.  Delicious festival-style food will be available outdoors and Le Jardin (in the Visitors Center) will be open for sit-down dining.  Cantigny’s spacious picnic grounds are available too!

Park visitors are encouraged to take full advantage of Cantigny’s regular attractions, including 30 acres of spectacular gardens, the historic Robert R. McCormick Museum and the inspiring First Division Museum.  The gardens and museums are free admission.

On Father’s Day, June 17, the Red Oak Room at Cantigny Golf will serve a special brunch with seatings at 10 am, 12:30 pm and 3 pm.  The number for reservations is 630.260.8194.
