July 13th: Clinical Trials: A Common-Sense Guide

Presented by Patrick Stiff, MD, medical director of Loyola’s Cardinal Bernardin Cancer Center, the session will address the importance of clinical trials in language you don’t need a medical degree to understand.

 

July 20th: Image Renewal: Fostering a positive self-image for those dealing with the side effects of cancer treatments.

Presented by Lisa Vander Wall, RN, BSN, OCN, CBCN, Cf-m. Vander Wall is a certified mastectomy fitter for the Coleman Image Renewal Center.

 

July 27th: The Genetics of Cancer: Should I Meet with a Genetic Counselor?

Presented by Lauren Bowling, MS, GC. Bowling will describe the genetics behind cancer development, the testing process and who should consider meeting with a genetic counselor
