A wonderful evening of audience favorites including marches, overtures and musicals --- all guaranteed to please!

June 14 -  A CHILDREN’S CONCERT -- MUSIC FOR “KIDS” OF ALL AGES!

7:30 PM in Memorial Park

Bring your children for an Instrument Petting Zoo that will begin at 6:30 followed by a concert starting at 7:30!  We welcome band students from several area middle school bands who will perform in “side-by-side” selections with the WMB!

June 21 -  CENTENNIAL TRIBUTES and CELEBRATIONS

From Girl Scouts to Gene Kelly to Oreo cookies, tonight’s concert will feature numerous people, places and things that are 100 in 2012!

One concert with a patriotic flair wasn’t enough with the concert calendar this year!  Think of this one as our patriotic concert, “the sequel” – July 4 +1!

July 12 -  MOVIN’ SHAKIN’ & DANCIN’ in the PARK!

The award winning DeSarge Dance Studio joins us to show and teach great dance moves. Whether you are single or a couple, beginner or advanced, the learning is easy and FUN (and the music will be great for chillin’, too)!

July 19 -  BRASSY, CLASSY, and SASSY!

A concert featuring a brass opener by Giovanni Gabrieli, a brass symphony by Herbert Haufrecht, highlights from the musical Gypsy, and classic favorite works for band by Gustav Holst, Ralph Vaughn Williams and Gordon Jacob.

July 26 -  CONDUCTOR’S NIGHT OUT

Our membership roster includes many area school band directors who will “switch hats” and conduct on tonight’s program. This is our tribute to the dedicated teachers who add to the professional quality that helps make the Wheaton Band what it is today.

August 2 -  JAZZIN’ IT IN THE PARK with DOUG BEACH

August 9 -  AUDIENCE FAVORITES THROUGH THE YEARS

Throughout the season, our favorite audience (you!) will assist us in the repertoire selection for tonight’s concert that will include classics from the 60’s as well as other memorable works for listeners of all generations.

August 11 -  EUPHONIUM MAGIC

8 PM at Edman Chapel (This is not a function of Wheaton College).
FREE Admission, no tickets required.

This special indoor concert Edman Chapel on the Wheaton College campus will feature euphonium virtuoso Dr. Benjamin Pierce.  As the winner of many international tuba and euphonium artist competitions held in the United States, Japan, Germany, Finland, South Korea, England, and Italy, Pierce has clearly established himself as one of the world’s finest euphonium players.  Whether performing a beautiful melody, or showcasing a dazzling display of technique, this is a performer who will leave you spellbound!
