
Synopsis:
Lysander loves Hermia, and Hermia loves Lysander. Helena loves Demetrius; Demetrius used to love Helena but now loves Hermia. The mother doesn’t like Lysander, she likes Demetrius. Oberon likes Titania, and Titania likes a donkey. Puck loves to make mischief, the fairies love love, and the rustics from the town just want to perform their play. All this happens as Shakespeare proves “the course of true love never did run smooth!”
This will be the second show for Director Carrie Dabelow of Palatine. It will be the first show for Director Phil Rudd. The production features one of the largest casts in the program’s history. Co-director Phil Rudd wrote accompanying music for the production, and Carrie Dabelow choreographed dance elements. Dabelow and Rudd will lead the following cast members in the school’s first performance of Shakespeare:
