Fire Displaces Families From Townhome In Wheaton
Fire officials are investigating the cause of a blaze that damaged a townhome in Wheaton Tuesday, but say it does not appear suspicious.
WHEATON, IL — Wheaton firefighters battled a blaze that broke out in a townhome late Tuesday morning, damaging multiple units.
Fire crews were called to the 1600 block of Timber Trail around 11:40 a.m. Residents of the multifamily townhome were able to evacuate safely and that no one was injured.
Firefighters were able to contain the flames in 20 minutes.

Officials are still investigating what caused the fire, but say it does not appear to be suspicious.
The city's building department determined that the townhome was uninhabitable.
