Former Wheaton Lawyer Faces Federal Tax Charges
Adam Tracy, 43, has been charged with one count of willful failure to pay taxes to the IRS.
WHEATON, IL — A former Wheaton lawyer has been charged with a federal tax offense. Adam Tracy, 43, has been charged with one count of willful failure to pay taxes to the IRS, according to a news release.
Federal authorities say that from 2014 to 2018, Tracy withheld $137,403.76 in taxes from his employees' payroll checks, but failed to pay the IRS. Tracy is also accused of failing to file quarterly employment tax returns during "much of that time," the news release states.
Tracy was arraigned Monday morning in federal court.
