Freed Ripper Crew Murderer Moving To Wheaton: Report
Thomas Kokoraleis, part of a satanic crew tied to 18 murders, will live at a Christian facility in Wheaton.

WHEATON, IL — For more than 30 years, convicted Ripper Crew killer Thomas Kokoraleis has lived in the Illinois River Correctional Center in Canton, but that's going to change now that he's a free man. Kokoraleis, who was released Friday, is moving into a Christian facility "in the Wheaton area," the Chicago Tribune reports.
Kokoraleis has served 35 years for the 1982 murder of Lorry Borowski, a 21-year-old Elmhurst woman who disappeared in May of that year. Borowski's body was later found in a Clarendon Hills Cemetery after she had been raped and murdered.
Kokoraleis was part of the satanic Ripper Crew, along with his brother, Andrew, and two other men. The notorious Ripper Crew is believed to be responsible for the deaths of more than a dozen women throughout Chicago and the western suburbs.

Kokoraleis was sentenced to 70 years in prison for Borowski's rape and murder, but was only required to serve 35 years due to Illinois sentencing laws at the time.
Borowski's family publicly fought against Kokoraleis's release when it was announced in 2017. In a press conference in Sept. 2017, her brother Mark told ABC 7, "I can't bring my sister back, but I am concerned about the safety of all other women who may be at risk if Lorry's murderer is released."

State authorities say Kokoraleis will have to register as a sex offender living in Wheaton. At press time, the address of the Christian facility he will be staying has not yet been released.
