Girls Hoops: Wheaton North Posts 2nd Consecutive Win

The Wheaton North girls basketball team on Tuesday defeated Glenbard South 51-34.

Senior Maddie Baillie scored seven consecutive points. She finished with a game-high 20 points, plus five steals.

"Baillie stepped up big," said Falcons Coach David Eaton. "Baillie came out, hit a couple of big shots in a row, took it on her shoulders, hit a couple of turnaround jumpers, got the ball inside, took some high-percentage shots and then hit a big three. That was big for us."

The Falcons' momentum continued into the fourth quarter, with the lead hitting double digits again on Mandy Traversa's 3-pointer.

Stephanie Bazigos led the Raiders (6-4) with 13 points, and Hicks had 8 points and 8 rebounds.
