WHEATON, IL — October has arrived, bringing with it a host of Halloween fun to be had in Wheaton. Check out Wheaton's 2021 Trick-or-Treat times, Pumpkin Fests, parties and other eerie activities.
Oct. 1 through 31: Pumpkin Fest at Cosley Zoo
Kids and kids-at-heart can visit Cosley Zoo in October to pluck a perfect pumpkin from the patch, visit the animals and enjoy carnival rides (tickets available onsite). Stock up on fun fall items that run the gamut from gourds and cornstalks to cider and straw bales.

Oct. 15: Halloween Happening

Carnival games, a bounce house, and a trick-or-treat trail await little ghouls and goblins at Wheaton Park District's Halloween Happening, which runs from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Wheaton Park District Community Center, 1777 S. Blanchard St.
Other activities include a sensory table, crafts and a touch-a-truck opportunity. Concessions will be available for purchase and some activities require a free.
Oct. 16-31: I Spy Halloween Scavenger Hunt
Spooky Halloween-themed signs will be posted throughout downtown Wheaton for a free scavenger hunt that runs from Oct. 16 through Oct. 31. Click the link to learn more about the I Spy Halloween Scavenger Hunt.
Oct. 22: Night at the Museum Halloween Party
DuPage County Historical Museum will welcome kids Oct. 22 at 6 p.m. for a showing of "Halloweentown," a flashlight scavenger hunt and arts and crafts. The movie is not rated, but the suggested age to watch it is seven years or older.

Oct. 22: Spooktacular Halloween Stroll at Cosley Zoo
Costumes are encouraged at this festive fall event, which features pumpkin decorating, kid-friendly activities and more from 5:15 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Cider, donuts and caramel apples will be available to help satisfy your sweet tooth.
Kids ages 2 to 13 will get a pre-filled treat bag when they leave the zoo.
Entry times will be staggered by 15 minutes for this event, with the last entry slot slated for 7:30 p.m.

Oct. 30: Downtown Wheaton Trick-Or-Treat
Kids can don their Halloween costumes and head to downtown Wheaton on Oct. 30, as businesses will be passing out candy from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.

The festivities also include a scavenger hunt that challenges children to spot spooky signs throughout the downtown area.
Oct. 31: Wheaton Halloween Trick-or-Treat Hours
Wheaton's trick-or-treat times are set for Oct. 31 from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Residents who don't want to hand out candy are encouraged to turn off their outside lights. Click the link to get a "no trick-or-treating here" sign for your home.
