“Hamilton’s Women,” a historical portrayal by Leslie Goddard
Free performance at Windsor Park retirement community

Actress and scholar Leslie Goddard, Ph.D., will perform a historical portrayal of “Hamilton’s Women” on Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at 1:30 p.m. at Windsor Park retirement community, 124 Windsor Park Dr., Carol Stream.
Not just the subject of today’s most popular Broadway musical, Alexander Hamilton was also a pivotal figure in our nation’s history whose life was influenced by three captivating women: his wife, Elizabeth Schuyler Hamilton and her two sisters, Angelia Schuyler Church and Peggy Schuyler van Rensslaer. Goddard will bring these fascinating women to life, depicting their complex relationships and how they, too, helped shape our nation.
Goddard holds a Ph.D. from Northwestern University, specializing in U.S. cultural history, American studies, and women's history as well as a master's degree in theater and in museum studies. A former museum director, she is the author of two books: Remembering Marshall Fields and Chicago’s Sweet Candy History. She currently works full time as a historical interpreter, author and public speaker.
