WHEATON, IL — The Wheaton Police Department will hold its Stuff the Squad event April 5, inviting residents to donate food and other items that will be given to people in need. The donation drive aims to fill a police car with as many items as possible to benefit Milton Township Food Pantry.

This marks the third year for the Stuff the Squad event, according to an update on the city's website.

The following items are needed most urgently by Milton Township Food Pantry, per its social media page:

  • Cooking oil
  • Canned food
  • Boxed food
  • Cereal
  • Diapers and baby wipes
  • Toiletries
  • Foldable shopping carts

Those who want to donate can head to the Wheaton Police Department, 900 W. Liberty Dr., between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Outside of the event, items can also be dropped off at a donation box in the police department's lobby area.
