Lighted Holiday Parade
Date: Friday, Nov. 27
Time: 6 p.m.
Location: Front Street, downtown Wheaton
More Information: Ring in the holidays with this time-honored tradition! Join fellow community members for the tree lighting ceremony and festive parade. The lighted parade kicks off the Dickens of a Christmas Celebration in downtown Wheaton. For more information, see the Downtown Wheaton Association’s website.

Festival of Lights and Trees
Date: Nov. 27-Dec. 31
Time: 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Location: Cosley Zoo, 1356 N. Gary Ave.
More Information: Cosley Zoo is transformed into a winter wonderland with 20,000 twinkling lights creating spectacular displays. This event also includes Christmas trees, hot chocolate and holiday gifts. For more information, see the Wheaton Park District’s website.
A Visit with Santa
Date: Saturdays, Nov. 28-Dec. 19
Time: 10 a.m.-1 p.m.
Location: Martin Memorial Plaza, Front and Main Streets
More Information: Children can visit Santa in his house at Martin Memorial Plaza during the Dickens of a Christmas celebration. Santa will be in his house Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Nov. 28 through Dec. 19.

Dickens of a Christmas Carriage Rides
Date: Saturdays, Nov. 28-Dec. 19
Time: Noon-3 p.m.
Location: Where: Martin Memorial Plaza, by the Christmas Tree at Front and Main Streets
More Information: As part of the Dickens of a Christmas Celebration, the Downtown Wheaton Association invites the community to take horse-drawn carriage rides through the downtown each Saturday, Nov. 28-Dec. 19. For more information, see the Downtown Wheaton Association’s website.
