2 Homes Burglarized, Phone Stolen At Mariano's More: Wheaton Blotter

WHEATON, IL — Police in Wheaton are investigating two residential burglaries, several thefts and a retail theft that took place between Nov. 14 and Nov. 20, according to the city's most recent crime blotter.

Home Burglarized in 1000 Block of North Stoddard Avenue

Police say someone broke into a home and stole several pieces of jewelry. The incident took place sometime between 2 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. on Nov. 16.

Home Burglarized in 1500 Block of Hyatt Drive

According to police, a home was broken into in the 1500 block of Hyatt Drive sometime between Nov. 15 at 3:50 p.m. and Nov. 16 at 9 p.m. The residents reported that gold and jewelry were stolen during the burglary.

Phone Stolen at Mariano's

A cellphone was stolen from a cart that was left unattended at Mariano's, 625 S. Main St. The phone was stolen around 12:45 p.m. on Nov. 16.

Items Stolen from Backpacks at Wheaton College

Items were stolen from five backpacks that were in the football locker room of Wheaton College, 601 Centennial Dr. Apple watches and cash were reported stolen in the theft, which took place on Nov. 19 between 10:57 a.m. and 3 p.m.

Catalytic Converters Stolen from 2 Vehicles in 900 Block of E. Roosevelt Road

Catalytic converters were cut from two Mitsubishi trucks that had been parked in an alley. The incident happened between Nov. 16 at 7 p.m. and Nov. 17 at 7:45 a.m.
