Home Burglarized, Wallet Nabbed From Cart: Wheaton Crime Blotter

Police say a wallet was stolen from a purse at Whole Foods and an unlocked home was burglarized during the first two weeks of January.

WHEATON, IL — A home was burglarized, a wallet was stolen from a shopping cart at Whole Foods and other incidents were reported on the most recent crime blotter from Wheaton Police Department.

Wallet Stolen at Whole Foods

A shopper told police their wallet was stolen from their purse while it was left unattended in a shopping cart at Whole Foods, 89 Danada Square East. The incident took place between 12:30 p.m. and 1:45 p.m. on Jan. 13, the police blotter said.

Car Burglarized in 600 Block of West Wesley Street

Police say someone got into an unlocked car and stole a wallet. The burglary happened sometime between 4:15 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. on Jan. 9, while the car was parked on the street.

Home Burglarized in 900 Block of Wheaton Oaks Drive

"Several jewelry items" were stolen from a home during a burglary in the 900 block of Wheaton Oaks Drive on Jan. 12. Police say entry to the home was left unlocked before the incident, which took place between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.
