Man Attacks Woman During Home Invasion In West Chicago: Cops
Police say the suspect attacked a woman inside her home and then fled west through neighboring yards.

WEST CHICAGO, IL — The DuPage County Sheriff's office is seeking the public's help in finding a man who broke into a home and attacked a woman in unincorporated West Chicago early Monday. The attack took place around 5 a.m. at a home in the intersection of Ethel St. and Hickory Ln., police say.
After attacking the woman, the suspect reportedly fled west through the neighboring yards on Ethel St. toward Center Ave. Police are asking residents in that area to check their yards for any items that may have been dropped when the suspect fled.
The DuPage County Sheriff's Office has urged anyone who observed anyone driving around or saw any unfamiliar vehicles parked in the area between 4 a.m. and 5:30 a.m. to contact them with information. Also, residents with home surveillance systems are urged to check the footage during this timeframe.

The suspect is described as a black male between the ages of 30 and 40 years old with light skin. He was wearing denim pants when he was last seen.
