Home Invasion Suspects Sought Near Wheaton: Police

Police are looking for suspects involved in a home invasion in unincorporated Wheaton.

WHEATON, IL — The DuPage County Sheriff's Office is looking for two suspects who were involved in a home invasion in unincorporated Wheaton early Tuesday. Police say the home invasion took place just before 8 a.m. near the intersection of Leonard St. and Prairie Ave.

Witnesses told police they saw two males fleeing the area and getting into a black Jeep Grand Cherokee that had tinted windows and black rims. A third suspect may have been driving the vehicle, according to police.

Authorities are asking anyone who has seen this vehicle or who witnessed anything to contact the DuPage County Sheriff's Office at 630-407- 2400. They're also looking for anyone who lives near the scene of the crime and has surveillance footage taken between 6 a.m. and 8:15 a.m.
