If you have thinning hair, know you are not alone. Over 46 million men and women suffer from hair loss, and 80% of all women in their 60's have thinning hair. Good news is there's help out there for anyone that suffers from thinning hair. For those that are thinning on the top or in the crown area, a hairpiece can be attached to give the look of more hair to the area of loss. Once the topper is attached it blends into your existing hair. Your mind might be thinking of several questions right now...

Am I a candidate for a hairpiece?
If your self confidence has been affected by your hair loss, a hairpiece can help you. The true test is to try on a hairpiece and look in the mirror, if wearing the hair piece makes you look and feel better about yourself than you are a candidate.
How would a hair pieces attach to my head?
Hairpieces can be clipped on, and worn on a daily basis or they can be bonded on with medical grade tapes/ glues, and be worn for up to a month at a time. Either option can be done by you at home. The tape or glue are applied to the perimeter of your the hairpiece, then hairpiece would attach and integrate into your own hair. You do not need to shave your head to apply a hair piece. Some people choose to shave the area where tape/glue is applied to help make clean up easier.
Can I shower or swim with a hairpiece?
If you chose to bond your hairpieces, yes you can shower while its bonded. Swimming is not recommended though. The water from a pool can be harsh to hair piece, causing tangling and matting. You can go in a pool, and if you get splashed it's not a big deal, just try not to submerge yourself.
Can I sleep with a hairpiece on?
Yes. If you are clipping your hair topper on you can remove it before bed, and if you bond you will be able to sleep with it on. Sleeping with a hair piece on will cause breakage to the hairpiece over time. Pulling your hair back in a low ponytail and sleeping on a satin or silk pillowcase is suggested and will help reduce damage while sleeping.
Will someone know I'm wearing a hairpiece?
If the correct hairpiece is applied it is extremely hard to detect. Most people will recognize that something is different, just assuming you had your hair done and that you have a new cut and style.
How much is a hair topper?
Hair toppers/hair pieces range from $450- $6,000. Costs depend on hair type, quality of material, and length.
