Jeep Stolen From Parking Lot In Wheaton
The car theft comes amid a spike in vehicle burglaries and catalytic converter thefts in Wheaton.
WHEATON, IL — Wheaton police are investigating a report of a car that was stolen from a parking lot in the 1000 block of Briarbrook Drive.
Police a driver parked their Jeep Grand Cherokee in the lot around 7 p.m. on Oct. 18 and left the doors locked. When they returned to the parking lot around 4 a.m. on Oct. 19, they noticed the car had been stolen.
A blue Trek bicycle was also stolen from the 1200 block of Briarbrook sometime between 12 a.m. on Oct. 18 and 7 a.m. on Oct. These crimes come amid a rash of car burglaries and catalytic converter thefts in Wheaton around the same time period.
