WHEATON, IL — Police in Wheaton responded to reports of a retail theft at Jewel-Osco, along with two car burglaries that took place at businesses throughout the city, according to the crime blotter for mid-August.
Liquor Stolen from Jewel-Osco
Police say two men stole bottles of liquor from the Jewel-Osco store at 2031 N. Main St. The incident took place just before 1 p.m. on Aug. 17.

Car Burglarized at Shell Station
A car was burglarized while its driver was pumping fuel at the Shell station located at 2025 Naperville Rd. Police say two men got into the the unlocked car and stole a diaper bag and purse during the burglary, which took place at 2:12 p.m. on Aug. 15.

Car Burglarized at Tropical Smoothie Cafe
Gift cards were stolen from an unlocked car while it was parked at Tropical Smoothie Cafe, 3 Danada Square East, according to the Wheaton police blotter. The incident took place around 2:10 p.m. on Aug. 15.
