Liquor Stolen From Mariano's, Garage Burglarized: Wheaton Cops
Wheaton's police blotter for the last week of August includes a retail theft at Mariano's and a burglary at DuPage County Fairgrounds.

WHEATON, IL — Burglars broke into a maintenance garage at DuPage County Fairgrounds and a man stole alcohol from Mariano's, according to the Wheaton Police Department's crime blotter for the last week of August 2021.

A man came into Mariano's at 625 S. Main St., filled a cart with liquor and food, and then left without paying. The incident took place just after 6 p.m. on Aug.25, according to the police blotter.

Garage Burglarized at DuPage County Fairgrounds
Police say two people broke into a maintenance garage at DuPage County Fairgrounds just after midnight on Aug. 23. Police say the burglars drove around a Gator utility vehicle and a golf cart, causing damage to both. They also spray-painted the floor, according to police.

Truck Burglarized in 2200 Block of Kingston Drive
A truck was burglarized at the above address sometime between Aug. 20 and Aug. 26. Police say tools were stolen from a locked truck bed during the burglary.
