Parks was taken into custody May 5. He is currently being held in DuPage County Jail on $250,000 bond.
"It is alleged that this defendant opened fire at an occupied vehicle in a residential neighborhood, striking the vehicle one time,” DuPage County State's Attorney Robert Berlin said in a news release.
Berlin added, “This complete disregard for public safety will not be tolerated."
