Man Kissed Girl, 16, Woman Without Consent In Wheaton, Police Say

WHEATON, IL — A Carol Stream man faces multiple misdemeanor charges after police say he kissed a 16-year-old girl and a 22-year-old woman without their consent during two separate incidents in Wheaton.

Bashir Saberi Pour, 36, of the 300 block of South President Street, was charged with two counts of misdemeanor battery and two counts of misdemeanor disorderly conduct in connection with the May incidents.

Pour is accused of approaching the 16-year-old at Northside Park on May 14. Police say Pour asked the girl "numerous personal questions," according to a news release. The girl told police Pour hugged and kissed her as she was trying to leave.

On May 29, police say Pour began talking to a woman, 22, as she was sitting on the lawn at Wheaton College. Pour is accused of asking the woman personal questions, along with hugging her and kissing her head without her consent.

After an investigation, Pour was arrested Wednesday, taken to Wheaton's police department and later released after posting bail.

"The alleged actions of Mr. Pour are certainly alarming, and he will be held accountable," Wheaton Police Chief William Murphy said in a statement.

Murphy added, "I commend our detectives for their excellent work in this investigation."
