GLENDALE HEIGHTS, IL — A Chicago man has been charged with armed robbery in connection with an incident in Glendale Heights. Odell Wright, 48, was arrested Friday and is being held in DuPage County Jail without pre-trial release.

Police say Wright came into Stella's Place, 2190 Bloomingdale Pl., Glendale Heights around 12 p.m. on April 26 and played the slot machine until just after 1:30 p.m.

Wright is accused of getting up and approaching the counter with a gun and demanding cash from the register. Police say the employee gave Wright cash and then Wright fled. He was arrested Oct. 13 following an investigation.
