Man Tried To Climb Into Resident's Window In Wheaton: Police
Police advised residents to keep their doors and windows locked.
WHEATON, IL — Wheaton police are investigating what they call two "suspicious incidents" that took place Thursday. In one incident, a resident told police a man was trying to enter their home through their bedroom window just after 2 a.m. in the 1900 block of Lancaster Lane.
The resident told police the man fled after they screamed.
In a separate incident that took place about an hour earlier, police say a resident saw a man climbing down a second-story balcony of another apartment building nearby.

Police are actively investigating both incidents and ask anyone with information to contact Lieutenant Bill Cooley at 630-260-2077. Police also advised residents to keep their doors and windows locked or to "have devices installed that prevent entry of a person if left open or ajar for ventilation."
