Multiple Vehicles Burglarized In Wheaton: Cops

Wheaton Police say multiple vehicle burglaries took place between the evening of Jan. 9 and the morning of Jan. 10.

WHEATON, IL — Wheaton Police are investigating multiple car burglaries that were reported within less than 24 hours. The burglaries took place between the evening of Jan. 9 and the morning of Jan. 10, according to police, with the suspect or suspects targeting several cars in the same area.

Police say "several unsecured vehicles" were burglarized in the 1500 block of N. Fanchon St. between 9 p.m. on Jan. 9 and 7:15 a.m. on Jan. 10. According to police, the suspect(s) entered the cars and rifled through the interiors.

Less than a mile away in the 800 block of N. Carlton St., police say "a couple of vehicles" were burglarized within the same timeframe. Some of the residents reported that wallets had been removed from their vehicles, according to police.
