Northern Illinois University has garnered a dubious honor: One of the ugliest college campuses in the country.
Complex Art and Design ranked NIU 19 based on its "bland architecture and uninspiring surroundings." The Website also said that NIU is deliberately misleading to prospective students: "It shows pictures of the castle-esque Altgeld Hall online, when most students never get the luxury of even being on that side of campus."
