'No Kings' Protests Planned Along Roosevelt Road In Wheaton

The protests will be part of a nationwide "No Kings" protest on March 28.

WHEATON, IL — Four protests will be held along Roosevelt Road as part of the nationwide "No Kings" protest on March 28 from 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. Organized by Indivisible DuPage, the protests will take place in Glen Ellyn Lombard, Wheaton and Villa Park.

The College of DuPage Faculty Association, the League of Women Voters in Glen Ellyn and Wheaton the Illinois Muslim Action Network and Swing Left are working with Indivisible DuPage to plan the protests.

In a news release, Indivisible DuPage wrote, "The protest is meant to show support for traditional democratic values, including fair elections, due process for all, economic equality, and free speech. These values have faced ongoing challenges by the current Republican administration."

The Roosevelt Road protests are among some 2,000 protests planned this year.

The first "No Kings Day" was held in June 2025, bringing roughly five million people out throughout the United States, according to the Guardian.

In Chicago, tens of thousands of protesters came out, Patch reported.

According to Indivisible DuPage, the March 28, 2026, protest events are "particularly meaningful...given the illegal war the US has entered with Iran, continued attacks on immigrant communities, and ongoing efforts to disrupt free and fair elections."
