WHEATON, IL — Parts of Woodlawn Avenue in Wheaton will be closed starting Thursday, as crews install new sewer mains.

The maintenance work will close Woodlawn Avenue from Lakeside Drive to Childs Street. Dorchester Avenue is set to reopen Wednesday evening, which means northbound traffic will be redirected from Woodlawn to Dorchester via Lakeside Drive. Traffic heading southbound will be redirected from Woodlawn to Dorchester via Childs Street.

The temporary detour is part of the city's sanitary district's ongoing Northside Interceptor Project.
