Playgrounds Closed Through April 7: Wheaton Park District

Parks will remain open, but playgrounds will be closed.

WHEATON, IL — All Wheaton school and Wheaton Park Distirct playgrounds will be closed through April 7 in an effort to comply with the stay-at-home order issued by Governor J.B. Pritzker, according to an update from the park district.

Residents are advised to keep kids off of playground equipment for their personal safety.

How To Cope Amid Coronavirus Social Distancing

The closure affects playgrounds, but does not impact Wheaton parks, which will remain open, according to a Facebook post. Park District officials urge residents who visit parks to practice social distancing and to make an effort to visit parks that are within walking distance of their homes.
