Both projects will consist of spot curb replacements and sidewalk replacement at intersections for ADA compliance, followed by pavement resurfacing. During construction, electronic message boards will be in place to notify drivers of detours and road work.
The U.S. Department of Transportation’s Surface Transportation Program will fund a large portion of this project. The Illinois Department of Transportation is responsible for administering federal funds and dictating the project schedule, while both projects will be completed by Plote Construction.
