“I sat at Cross Street so many times with the crossing bars down for 3-6 minutes and no train would show up. Yikes,” she said. “We sat at the President and College light/ crossing for two ghost trains and four trains tonight, which is the norm.”
Victoria Greatrix said more speed bumps or stop signs wee needed in neighborhoods. Especially, neighborhoods with parks.
Another popular suggestion was bike lanes.
“(I’d like to see a) bike lane along south side of Butterfield Road to get to the bike path,” Ania Matys-Dakowicz said.
Other residents would like to see more affordable housing options, a “good old-fashioned bakery” that wasn’t focused on cupcakes, more independent restaurants and “more retail that can actually be useful downtown.”
