SCARCE Green Fair Brings Eco-Conscious Activities To Wheaton

The event will include food vendors, kid-friendly activities, and a recycling extravaganza.

WHEATON, IL — If you're a fan of planet Earth, you'll probably enjoy yourself at SCARCE's upcoming Green Fair. The free event, which is slated for Sept. 15 at DuPage County Fairgrounds, will include fun activities for kids, organic and green-minded vendors, in addition to lots of educational opportunities.

Food vendors will be serving up eats throughout the Green Fair, which will feature live music from Ralph's World and a Kids' Maker Space where children can exercise their creative muscles. Grownups will have plenty to keep them occupied at the festival as well.

Several eco-lifestyle workshops will be set up throughout the DuPage County Fairgrounds to help residents learn more about ways they can go green. There will also be a "recycling extravaganza" at which residents can drop off electronics, personal documents, and cooking waste to be recycled between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m.
