DUPAGE COUNTY, IL — DuPage County students who come from low-income families are eligible to apply for a Community Services Block Grant scholarship to help with the cost of books, tuition and other expenses.

Applicants must be residents of DuPage County and live in a household with a total income that is 200 percent below or at the federal poverty level. To be eligible, the applicant must provide documentation of:

  • DuPage County residence
  • Their household's gross income for past 30 days
  • Info about household members
  • School transcripts (with at least 2.5 GPA on 4.0 scale)
  • Two letters of recommendation
  • Financial aid award letter
  • 500-word personal essay
  • Proof they are enrolled in a college, university or training program that is Illinois-accredited

Students can click the link to complete a Community Block Grant scholarship application. In-person applications are available at DuPage County Department of Community Services Office, 421 N. County Farm Rd.
